Nigerian businessman and socialite, Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has expressed his disdain over the loss of his best friend, Davido, at the 68th Grammys award.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that the 68th Grammys award was held at the L.A.’s Crypto.com Arena on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, with several artistes clinching awards in various categories.

Surprisingly, the Best African Music Performance category featuring Burna Boy’s Love, Davido’s With You featuring Omah Lay, Ayra Starr and Wizkid’s Gimme Dat, as well as Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin’s Hope & Love, and Tyla's Push 2 Start, saw South Africa's Tyla's 'Push 2 Start song emerge victorious amid stiff competition from her contemporaries.

Reacting to Davido's loss, CP, as he is fondly called claimed that they are trying to do everything possible to "break a strong man."

He asserted that Davido's loss is an intentional attempt to make him participate in "demonic shit" with them.

Standing in solidarity with the Afrobeats star, he urged him to ignore the loss, and focus on his music career and his fans.

He wrote:
"Oyibo dey do everything possible to break a strong man so he can do their demonic sh*t with them but he will never do ot. Heads up brother, open the bag and drop another hot one for us. E no dey finish, gbedu na water.”

Davido was touted to clinch his first Grammys award at the 68th ceremony on Sunday with his record-breaking song 'With You' ft Omah Lay, however, his loss comes as a rude shock to many Nigerians, particularly his fans.
