I'm Nigerian And I'm Exhausted – Ireti Doyle Laments Over Nigeria's Challenges
Veteran Nollywood actress Iretiola Doyle has expressed deep frustration over the recurring challenges facing Nigeria.
In a post on her Instagram page, she declared that she is officially exhausted, pointing to the country's worsening economy, security issues, and now floods.
Doyle noted that these problems are the same every year, only amplified. She also warned about the upcoming "season," when gaslighting and manipulation will be at an all-time high, and violence will follow. She urged people to pay attention to patterns, stating that it is not a prediction but a pattern.
The actress concluded her post with a prayer, asking God to take control.
She wrote:
"E nleee o...
A ku asiko yi...
Economy, security, now floods...
Same thing, every year, only amplified.
Add this cocktail to the fact that 'the season' is upon us...
The cacaphony of voices will get louder...
Gaslighting and manipulation will be at all time high...
And the violence?
It's not a prediction, it's a pattern.
Pay attention to patterns...
You will recognise things as they unfold.
We are here again.
Oluwa, gba akoso!."
