"Where Do Banks Get The Trillions They Declare As Profits Every Quarter" - Ayo Makun Questions Bank Charges
Popular Nigerian comedian, Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has thrown a question to Nigerian banks, on how they make the trillions which they declare as profits every quarter.
AY noted that the Nigerian economy is currently in shambles, yet, banks keep announcing profits every quarter. He stressed that the small charges and debits made on numerous accounts need to be challenged.
Taking to his X handle, AY wrote:
“Where do banks get the trillions they declare as profits every quarter, even in a struggling economy? The small charges and debits on our accounts need to be challenged. Many of these fees are unique to Nigeria. Why is that? #BankingFees #Nigeria #Transparency #Shalom”
