We were not stranded in South Africa — Aki & Paw Paw
THE duo of Nollywood big shots, Chinedu Ikedieze (AKI) and Osita Iheme (PAW PAW) has described a recent rumour that they were stranded in South Africa after a very successful show as the wild imagination of the rumour mongers.
They explained to Citytracker that what actually happened was that they decided to turn down a flight arrangement by the promoter because it did not meet with the agreement they signed.
“We had to go back to our hotel rooms till the promoter rectified the anomaly which he did and we came back to Nigeria the next day”, they told Citytracker.
The sold out marathon seven days show tagged; “Laugh Unlimited” was put together by Hit Vibration, an entertainment and events company run by Nigerians based in South Africa. It was reported to have attracted thousands of fans who were treated to rib cracking and highly entertaining sessions by the high flying and talented diminutive Nigerians.
The success of the show is remarkable, in that this is the first time the duo is performing in South Africa. An informed source revealed, “Aki and Paw Paw have a huge followership in South Africa as they do in most part of the world.
