Hausa Movie Directors are Shy and Can't Sexually Harass an Actress… Actress, Maryam Abdullahi
Fast rising Kannywood actress, Maryam Abdullahi, has given thumbs up to Hausa movie producers on how they are always able to work and coordinate themselves without crossing the line with their female actress.
Maryam, who is a business Administration graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, while speaking on the constant discuss of sexual harassment in Nigerian movies, claimed that she has heard of such claims from quarters but has not had the experience yet.
According to the actress, base of the type of Hausa producers and directors she has worked with, none of them has done such thing to her because they are very religious and shy people.
“Well, I have heard that such things exist in the movie industry, but I have not had such experience; maybe because of the calibre of people I work with. None of them have approached … My directors are very religious and pious; they don't do that nonsense. They are well trained, shy and respected. I like Hausa people; they are hospitable and respectable people,” she told Dailytrust.
