Odunayo Abidoye may not be popular in her home country, Nigeria, but she is a soul singer in the UK where she is known as Nayo.

Now she looks set to hit the airwaves with a new album, African Girl.

Currently on the label of Fryo Music, a UK-based recording company, Nayo says she is ready to make her impact felt in Nigeria.

Nayo says she's returning home because “Nigeria was where I discovered my love for music. I want to introduce my music to the music-loving people as well as establish myself in the growing music arena in my country.”

Nayo is billed to return home next month. Life and Beat gathered that the singer could not wait to reunite with her old pals whom she had not seen for years.
