Maybe if Gabriel Afolayan had known that he would not be eventually taken for a movie role with MTV, through an audition, he would not have attempted to put in for it. And maybe he had already prepared for the worst to happen, and have concluded within him not to bother about what it would do to his image and reputation in the growing Nigerian movie industry.

Gabriel is one fantastic actor in Nollywood who never fails to deliver any given character he has had to play in most films he has acted in. A scion of legendary late Ade Love, the name 'Afolayan' commands respect in the make-believe industry.

Like others, Gabriel entered to be auditioned for MTV's 'Shuga' films probably having at the back of his mind that he is a popular and multiple award winning actor, but to MTV, Tiwa Savage, Chris Attoh and few others are the ones that can key into that description.

In the result of the lucky ones to star in the new flick, the likes of Gabriel Afolayan was not needed just as popular Nigerian screen goddess didn't fit into a new 'Doctor's' movie even after being featured on a widely known American news TV channel.

For now, Gabriel will have to lick his would in a closet probably praying to bounce back from the incident.
