In January 2012, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde wowed many when she transformed the lives of 20 widows with a total make-over through her Omotola Youth Empowerment Programme (OYEP) foundation. She also showered them with gifts and lots more.

Now, that gesture has earned her foundation an award nomination.

Omotola's OYEP was recently nominated alongside with others for the second edition of Nigerian Event Awards. OYEP was nominated in the Best Charity/Cause Related Event category with some others.

Also, 2Face Idibia, P-Square, Wizkid, Davido, Ice Prince, Tiwa Savage, Naeto C and many others were nominated in other categories.

The award ceremony is expected to hold on Sunday, August 24, 2012 at the Incubator, Lekki, Lagos. The event is aimed at rewarding those that have supported the event segment of entertainment industry.
