Momentum Gathers As Fashionistas Gear Up For 2012 Yoruba Movies Awards

Feelers getting to Nollywoodgists.com indicate that the Yoruba film industry is getting agog as fashion lovers and the general public await the May event of the first Yoruba Movies Awards (YMAA) in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

One top actress was overheard saying that she would storm the event with sexy 'native to crazy gaan'.

The official dress code is trendy traditional attire attributed to the Yorubas.

Also caught in the excitements are top fashion designers who have vowed to unleash their latest and exclusive trendy traditional styles at the epic awards ceremony.

The chairman and artistic director of YMAA, Alhaji Teju Kareem of Zmirage has also promised great expectations in terms of artistic direction, production quality amongst others as Nigerians in general look forward to YMAA 2012.

According to Tunde Laface, who is the brain behind the event, YMAA promises glamour and style like never seen before in Yoruba movie industry.

The event holds at June 12 Cultural Centre, Kuto, Abeokuta, Ogun State. Nominees would be given a 5-star treatment with limo ride.
