Funke Akindele, Tiwa Savage For ‘Islanders International Magazine’ Awards

Sunday, April 27, 2014 has been set aside for the second edition of the Islanders International Magazine Awards, which holds in Lagos. From indications, all plans have been concluded by the organisers of the award ceremony to make it a grand event.

The event will hold at the Bespoke Event Centre, Lekki, Lagos and dignitaries drawn across various fields will be honoured that day.

Sultry actress, Funke Akindele will host the show along with IK Osakioduwa and Abdul Mohammed, while Toyin of Television Continental (TVC) will anchor the red carpet. DJ Spinall has been billed to excite the guests with good tunes from his wheel of steel.

According to the organisers, the ceremony is aimed at honouring people and corporate organisations from different professions for their contribution towards the growth of the country and humanity.

Some of the recipients of the awards include the Lagos State Speaker, Honourable Adeyemi Ikuforiji; Senator Ganiu Solomon Olarenwaju (GOS); Chief Ganiu Adams; Cardinal James Odunmbaku; Chairman, Atiba Local Government, Hon. Prince Akeem Adeyemi; Prof Nike Grange (Former Minister of Health); Chairman, Oshodi/Isolo local Government, Hon. Bolaji Ariyo; and Alh (Chief) Olawale Jimoh Akanni Andus.

Others are Mr. Tony Bakare, Chief Aare Bashir Olawale Fakorede (Bash Oil Distinct), Alh Kazeem Salami (Kaz Oil), Mr Akeem Shodehinde, Alh Yusuf Bajaj, Hon. Monsuru Alao Owolabi, Alh Hon. Segun Olulade, Alh Modupe Ola (CEO Shine-Shine cosmetics), Frank Okamigbo (Papa's), Alh Kudi Ajadi Lawa, AA Rescue, Tiwa Savage Balogun, Oritsefemi, Kacee-Limpopo, AK Media and some corporate organisations.

Sean Tizzle, Oritse Femi, Olamide, Sexy Steel, JJC, Brain, El Phex, Dude Tetsola, I-Boiz 2, King Saheed Osupa, KS1-Malaika, Dammy Krane, Korede Bello, Young Ambassador Dance Academy, Atawewe, Larry King, Ink and FM of Manchester will dazzle the audience with scintillating performances.
