A new movie titled 'Live for Ever' which highlights the laudable achievements of the Rivers State governor, Dr. Peter Odili and a tribute to the late Nollywood Star, Mr. J.T. Tom-West will soon hit the movie shelves in Nigeria and abroad.

According to the producer Engr. Micheal Ojims, one of the Governor's faithfuls in the state, the movie highlights the various achievements of Governor Odili, his transparency and welfare programmes which had positively transformed the lives of many Nigerians among others.

The producer, who spoke with The Weekend Tide's Entertainment also stressed that the movie was an appreciation of the golden governors assistance to the family of the late actor and the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Rivers State Chapter in ensuring that the late Nollywood Star and all round entertainer was buried in Rivers State (his state) instead of Lagos as earlier scheduled.

The movie directed by Ofem Emmanuel was shot at various locations in Port Harcourt and its environs and features new actors and actresses among whom are Gloria Sambo, James Kpabs, Micheal Ojims Promise Odila and Priscillia.

He said the movie is a true life experience because it covers all the details of the late star, from the time of his death to his burial ceremony at the Cultural Centre Port Hacourt and the Port Harcourt cemetery.

“He was buried like a national hero and he was indeed a national hero in life and in death,” he said.

The producer disclosed that the movie was not for profit motive as the proceeds would be given to late Tom West's only child. He said though he had not met J.T. Physically, he enjoyed his acting prowess and admired his intelligence and humility.

“Though I am an introvert, I have decided to come out of my shell to highlight the good qualifies of these two people, it is my own contribution in ensuring that people understood them and emulated those qualifies: It is a big and tasking project, but I am quite optimistic of success”, he stressed.

Engr. Ojims who is also into marketing and advertising noted that the Nigerian movie industry is growing, but needed capable hands to ensure that the industry did not relapse.

He said there was the need to strengthen it and he had decided to put his experience in advertising and marketing into the movie industry by producing clean Nigerian movies with good scripts and reasonable stories.

He also maintained that he decided to shoot the film in Port Harcourt in a bid to showcase the good locations in the state and to make Rivers State one of the movie producing states in Nigeria instead of going to Enugu, Lagos, Jos, Onitsha etc. He therefore urged indigenes of the state to invest in movie production in order to establish a vibrant movie industry in the state.
