Nollywood actress Bimbo Afolayan has penned a heartfelt note to her daughter, Aliyah, as she officially becomes a teenager.

In a lengthy Instagram post, the Yoruba actress reflected on the past 13 years since she became a mother, describing her daughter as a blessed gift that has brought nothing but joy to her life.

Bimbo acknowledged that their journey has not always been easy, but through it all, Aliyah has remained one of her brightest lights. She praised her daughter's intelligence, kindness, and loving spirit, adding that watching her grow into a beautiful young lady fills her with pride. She also expressed gratitude for the privilege of being her mother.

The actress prayed for her daughter, asking God to guide her steps, protect her, and fill her life with favor, wisdom, good health, and happiness.

She wrote:
"13 yrs ago, I became a mum, I mean a mother
God gave me my first fruit, Aliyah Omotoyosi Asake, and it has been nothing but joy, a blessed gift that has given me nothing but happiness. I have experienced alot of journey since then in different segments, but this GOD gift of mine, Aliyah, has been one of my shining lights, my smart and very intelligent aliyah

Being a teen mom, I feel very great because I know you will make me so proud. Happy 13th Birthday to my precious daughter, Aliyah

Thirteen years ago today, my life changed forever. I became a mother. God blessed me with my first fruit, and from the moment you came into my life, it has been nothing but pure happiness You are one of the greatest gifts God has ever given me, and I will forever be grateful for the blessing of calling you my daughter.

Our journey hasn't always been easy. Life has brought different challenges and experiences, but through it all, you have remained one of my brightest lights. Your smile, your kind heart, your wisdom, and your beautiful spirit have brought so much happiness into my life.

Aliyah, you are incredibly smart, intelligent, thoughtful, and loving. You have a special way of looking out for me, encouraging me, and making me smile even when you don't realise it. Watching you grow into such a beautiful young lady fills my heart with so much pride.

Today, as you officially become a teenager, I celebrate not only your birthday but also the amazing person you are becoming. Being your mum has been one of the greatest privileges of my life.

My prayer for you is that God will continue to guide your steps, protect you, fill your life with His favour, wisdom, good health, and endless happiness. May every dream in your heart come to pass, and may you continue to excel in everything you do. I know you are destined for greatness, and I do not doubt that you will make me even prouder than you already have.
