When Things Get Hard, I Call My Wife To Help Me – Deyemi Okanlawon
Nollywood actor Deyemi Okanlawon has shared his personal experience with family dynamics, emphasizing the importance of the duty of a man.
Speaking in a recent interview, the Yoruba actor shared how men are built to handle challenges. He likened it to his responsibility as a father, maintaining that in the case of any danger —he always steps in front.
Deyemi further explained that he has his therapist on speed dial whenever he is facing immense challenge, however, once it becomes unbearable, he informs his wife to help him out.
He said:
“My job is to protect the people around me. If gbegbe happens here now, the chances are I’m going to step in front. It’s what needs to happen; there’s no excuse."
“Let me just tell you the truth, when the thing is just too hard, there’s my wife. She’s not the first because she’s dealing with her own business and raising the family. But when it’s hitting me too hard, I’ll wake her in the middle of the night and tell her to help me."
