Pastor Mike, the lead pastor of the evening church in Uyo died after a brief illness. It has been reported that he died just a few hours after officiating the funeral of one of the church members, Miss Ekpenyong.

Pastor Mike reportedly died on Saturday, July 1 2023 just two days after he officiated the funeral of the daughter of a popular broadcaster, Miss Ekpenyong. Miss Enpenyong was just 36 when she gave up the ghost.

The news about the death of the pastor was announced by the leadership of the church on Saturday. When the news about his death reached the church members, they barely believed it because the pastor seems healthy the last time they met.

The report also has it that the pastor gave up after a brief illness, but the nature of his illness is yet to be disclosed.

"In this time of grief, we enjoin the body of Christ to hold us up in prayers and most especially, His immediate family,”

the church announced.
Friends and family have began sending condolences to the family of the bereaved.
