Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has emphasized the importance of finances in relationship.

The movie star made her stance known in a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast. She admitted that marriage is not a means to get rich quick, however, she does not believe that being with a poor man guarantees happiness.

She cited a lot of responsibilities that comes with marriage, positing that lack of finances will make it difficult to foot the bills.

According to her, love goes beyond money, however, they are both crucial factors to have a fantastic relationship.

She said:
“Marriage is not a poverty alleviation scheme but I don’t believe marrying a poor man can make you happy.

“When rent is due, school fees can’t be paid and there is no food in the house, it is difficult to have a fantastic life.

“I am not saying there is no love without money. But love and fantastic life are not the same."
