The family of Deborah, the young female student that was set ablaze in Sokoto have bemoaned their benefactor, Apostle Chibuzor for neglecting them while they experience hard times.

Recall that on May 12, 2022, the family of Deborah, a female student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto State suffered an ill fate as they lost their daughter, Deborah to the lawless Muslim extremist in the North.

Deborah was treated like several other pegans in the north; she was set ablaze live after she reportedly advised her classmates against posting religious content on their WhatsApp group which was created for academic purposes.

Following the loss, Apostle Chibuzor approached the family of Deborah and promised to take care of everything they needed. In a quick action, he gave them an apartment in one of his estates in Porthacourt.

Furthermore, in a recent report, the family of Deborah has come out to clear the air on the perception people have about their situation there in Porthacourt.

According to the Foundation for Investigative Journalism (FIJ) who recently visited Deborah’s family in Port Harcourt, found out that they are living contrary to popular speculation.

According to FIJ, life is not rosy for the Deborah's family. The family asserted that the house OPM gave them was later rented out to them. The claimed they are not living well as people believe.

Late Deborah’s dad said,” People think that we are living well but we are not. OPM took us from where we were in Niger State to Port Harcourt City last year. The OPM pastor gave us a mini estate with about 14 self-contained apartments. After that, OPM rented this bedroom flat for us. He said we should be staying here because we are a family and those self-contained apartments cannot be enough for the family. He furnished the apartment with the appliances.
