Collective Efforts Will Bring About The Desired Change – Mr P Addresses Nigerians Clamouring For Celebrities To Speak Up Over Bad Governance, Insecurity
Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, professionally known as Mr P, has addressed Nigerians who have been clamouring on celebrities to lend their voices to the complaints against bad governance and insecurity plaguing the country.
Speaking in a recent interview on Wazobia FM, the other half of the now-defunct group, PSquare, acknowledged the security issues ravaging the country.
He however, maintained that only celebrities cannot get the needed change, stressing that everyone should put in the right efforts collectively to address the government in order to get the desired change.
He said:
"I apologise for saying I won’t concern myself with Nigeria’s challenges anymore. I may have security agencies guiding me but not everyone can afford it. This is our country, it is only us who can bring positive changes. “However, celebrities alone can’t save Nigeria. All those clamouring for celebrities to speak up against bad governance should redirect their energy. It is not a matter of celebrities. This government has failed us all. But together, we can bring the desired change."
