Korede Bello Bemoans Trend Of Fewer Kids From Parents
Nigerian singer Korede Bello, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the growing trend of parents birthing fewer kids.
Expressing his grievance in a video broadcast, the 'God win' crooner noted how the birth of pop legend, Michael Jackson, who was the seventh child of his parents, would have been impossible if his parents had stopped giving birth at the sixth child.
He acknowledged the economic situation as a factor, however, he maintained that the reduction in the number of kids will affect the possibility of geniuses being born.
He said:
“I have been wondering – what if Michael Jackson’s mother had stopped at two or six kids? He was the seventh. Imagine a world without him just because she chose fewer children. Now many people are having just one child. It is very rare to find a young couple with three kids these days.
“What is going with this fewer kids people are having nowadays. I understand that the economic situation limits our desires to populate the earth. But how are we going to continue like this? Are we ever going to get to a place where the house will be filled with children again? We need more Michael Jacksons.”
