In the current heat of the 2023 general election in Nigeria, Nigeria Grammy-Award winner, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu professionally known as Burnaboy has finally taken to his social media to disclose his reason for being silent on the matter bordering on the election.

His post is coming after many social media users have been so critical about him because he has not been contributing on the prevailing electioneering matter. Although, In this regard, several top celebrities like Mr Macaroni, Falz the bad Guy, Nasboi and several others have been lending their voices relentlessly on the ongoing electioneering issue.

In defense to the criticism, Burnaboy goes on his insta-stories section to assert that his reason for remaining mute on the aforementioned issue is that none of the major political contenders' quality and capacity is convincing enough to him.

He added that he has never supported any political candidate in his life because he doesn’t want to use his vote to influence others who at the end of the day will drag him if the person doesn't perform.

Burnaboy wrote:
“I dunno why it’s such a big deal to some Nigerians that I’ve not been vocal about the elections.

Personally I don’t have a candidate that I believe in. I’ve never supported any political party or candidate in my life beacause I don’t want to make you vote and then blame me when the person fucks up as usual. That being said, I hope all votes count and the best man wins.”
