Mary Njoku Bemoans Gentle Parenting Trend With Kids
Nollywood actress and filmmaker Mary Njoku, has bemoaned the trend of gentle parenting.
The movie star, in a recent Instagram post, questioned the idea behind the act of gentle parenting, noting how parents have to dialogue with kids.
She cited how she has to cope with her children, pointing out the stress the act entails, particularly during an outing with her children in Balogun market.
According to Njoku, she stressed that her children are aware that the trend will soon end.
She wrote:
"Please, who started this gentle parenting?
Who gathered all of us and said we should now begin to negotiate with tiny humans whose brains are still under construction?
Because explain to me why I am calmly saying, 'Sweetheart, the glass center table is not a stool...'
...like I’m delivering a TED Talk in a foreign language inside Balogun market
Even my kids know this won’t last. Nope!!."
