"We Don't Have Anything" – Daddy Freeze Bemoans Underdevelopment In Nigeria, Despite Religious Nature

By Oluwarantimi Oludase

Controversial media personality Ifedayo Olarinde, popularly known as Daddy Freeze, has bemoaned the underdevelopment in Nigeria, despite the nation's religious nature.

The former OAP made his complaints during a recent episode of the Honest Bunch Podcast, pointing out the religious nature of Nigerians.

He maintained that despite religion in Nigeria, there is no result to show for it in terms of prosperity, love, amongst other developments.

Daddy Freeze also stressed how the country has the shortest life expectancy in the world, adding that more tithes are paid than taxes in the country.

He said:
“How is religion working for us?."
“My problem with religion is – it has no results. Where is the prosperity? Where is the love? You say God loves us because we are religious so how come the Japanese are the ones enjoying their own heaven on earth? They are developed.

"We don’t have anything but we have this ‘God that favours us.’ However, when we truly list the things what we say favour is – prosperity, health… Did you know Nigeria has the shortest life expectancy in the world according to the 2026 statistics -54 years?

“We pay more tithes than taxes in this country yet our prayers and sacrifices don’t seem to reflect on the condition of our nation."
