Niyi Akinmolayan Curious Over Lack Of Retirement Homes In Lagos
Renowned Nigerian filmmaker, Niyi Akinmolayan, has asked a crucial question pertaining to the fate of the elderly, particularly in Lagos State.
The award-winning filmmaker, via his Instagram page, questioned the reason behind the lack of retirement homes for the elderly in Lagos State.
According to him, people would be able to pay monthly in order for their aged parents to be under "assisted living and care."
He noted that several individuals abroad would entertain such idea for their parents, emphasizing that his curiosity is high.
He wrote:
"Why don’t we have retirement homes for the elderly in Lagos. Get people to pay monthly to keep their parents under proper assisted living and care. Why isn’t it a business. A lot of people living abroad or very busy might love it for their parents. Just thinking.
Just curious o!."
