Veteran Nollywood actress, Joke Silva, has announced the passing of her elder brother, John Olabiyi Silva.

The veteran actress took to her Instagram page to make the news of brother's death public, revealing that her brother, John Olabiyi Silva, had passed on at the age of 73.

Describing the deceased, she noted that he is easygoing, urging him to rest in peace.

She wrote:
“With acceptance of God’s Sovereign will.

We announce the call to Glory of my dear brother John Olabiyi Silva, long John Silva.

Bros B…Uncle B….
My easy-going, lucky brother.
Rest in peace. January 22nd, 1953-August 29th, 2025."
