Hilda Baci Set To Cook 250 Bags Of Rice To Set Record For Biggest Jollof Pot
Hilda Baci, a popular Nigerian chef and the former holder of the Guinness World Record, GWR, for marathon cooking is set to undertake another record-breaking move by cooking 250 bags of rice to set a new world record for the biggest jollof pot.
The celebrity chef made the announcement to the public on Monday in a viral video on her Instagram page.
She shared that she would be using a 22,619 litres pot for the cooking, and would cook 259 bags of basmati rice.
She said:
“I’m making the executive decision to cook 250 bags of basmati rice. The pot is 6 meters wide by 6 meters wide, 1.1 meters tall, and about 1.3 meters deep. I’m sure the pot is not going to sink.”
The record-breaking cooking event has been slated for September 12, 2025, with the aim of feeding 10,000 people.
