Gospel Singer, Judikay Opens Up On Six Miscarriages
Famous gospel singer Judith Kanayo, widely known as Judikay, has opened up on her personal struggle with childbirth, revealing that she had her sixth marriage in 2025.
.
In a recent emotional video on Instagram, the energetic singer shared her experience during her last pregnancy, noting how in February 2025, she was already pregnant well over three months, then one day, she began to feel some pain.
She admitted that she initially thought it was spotting which prompted her to use the washroom. She stated that she discovered blood instead of urine, which made reality hit her about what had just occurred.
According to the singer, she was rushed to the hospital, where she underwent a dilation and curettage (D&C) procedure over her missed miscarriage.
Speaking further about the experience, Judikay explained that upon returning home, she tried to stay strong following the pain of losing her child, however, the night was unfavourable to her, as she battled intense pain and grief.
"In February 2025, I experienced a pain that almost crushed me. I was pregnant for well over three months. One of these days, I was going about my day when I started to experience cramps,” she said.
“I said, ‘Oh, okay, it was one of those things.’ And then trickles of blood, and I said, ‘Oh, spotting’. If you are a woman who has been pregnant before, you will know what spotting refers to
“And then I had the urge to use the washroom. And what I thought should be urine was blood. It did not stop. It kept flowing. And I was devastated because I understood what that meant automatically.
“This baby that I lost, that has gone past three months, mark the sixth one.”
“I was rushed to the hospital, and they did a D&C on me because it was a missed miscarriage,” she added.
“And when I returned home, I thought I was okay. I had cried and shouted whilst they broke the baby and brought the pieces.
“Everyone would ask, and I would say God gets the glory.
“But then in the silence of the night, I would experience a pain that I could not express. I would wail and cry and say, ‘Jesus, where are you?."
Famous for her deep-soaking worship songs, Judikay tied the knot with Anselem Opara in 2020, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2022.
