Popular veteran Nigerian singer, Innocent Idibia, best known as 2Baba, has clarified that his post debunking his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, was false.

Recall that 2baba sent shockwaves on social media after sharing a now deleted announcement on his Instagram page of his divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia. The message reads:

“Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. Well, this thing I have to say is short but also long…I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce.

“I would grant a press release soon to say my story. Not because it is anyone’s right to know about my personal life but because I love my people and I need them to know my innocence or offense. Stay blessed my people. I love you all.”

Surprisingly, in another post, the legendary singer stated that his Instagram account had been hacked. The post reads:

“My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control. #onelove!”

However, in a video posted in the past hour, 2baba said that nobody hacked his account, and his initial message about his separation from his wife still stands.

2baba's divorce from his wife has led to numerous dramas on social media, as many are beginning to take sides on who erred in the marriage.
