Popular Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Funke Akindele, has announced the new record set by her new movie.

The Nigerian Voice recalls that Funke Akindele released her movie 'Everybody Loves Jenifa' in cinemas on Friday, December 13th, 2024, and the movie has since begun setting records.

Taking to her social media pages, Funke Akindele announced that her new movie has become 2024's Highest Grossing Nollywood Title with an amount of N511m. It also holds the record of the quickest Nollywood movie to hit N500m in 12 days. It also holds the record of the highest grossing title of the weekend.

She wrote on X:
