Toyin Abraham Admonishes Public Against Explaining Themselves To Negative People

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham, has admonished the public against explaining themselves to individuals who are always negative-minded.

The box office queen took to the popular microblogging platform, X (formerly known as Twitter) to share the advise, urging the public to desist from wasting their time to explain their value to individuals with negative mindset.

She wrote:
"Never waste your energy trying to explain your value to people who only understand negativity”

Toyin Abraham has been at the centre of controversy since the beginning of the year.

Refreshing your memory, The Nigerian Voice reported that Abraham topped headlines after she was publicly snubbed by Funke Akindele during the premiere of Iyabo Ojo's 'The Return of Arinzo'.

Additionally, the 'Oversabi Aunty' also made the now news over her protege Olawuni Oluwapelumi Abike, popularly known as Abike Shugaa's accusations against her.

In a now-viral video, Abike Shuhaa disclosed that she was paid the sum of N50,000 for her role in a movie, and upon the release of the movie, her scenes were cut out. She further made mention of her appearances with other filmmakers, emphasizing a stark contrast to working with Abraham.

Dropping her side of the story, Toyin Abraham stated that contrary to Abike's claim, she gave her the sum of N500,000 for a role in ‘Malaika’ and N50,000 for two scenes in ‘Ijakumo’, which were ultimately removed by the director during editing.

Absolving herself of the allegations made against her, the box office queen stressed that she would no longer comment on the matter, maintaining that she is one of the producers who support the career of up-and-coming actresses.
