Headies Awards: Do2dtun Slams Whitemoney Over Tribalism Speech
Popular media personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, professionally known as Do2dtun, has slammed former reality star and singer, Whitemoney, over his tribalistic speech at the recently concluded 2025 Headies Award.
Recall that the Nigerian Voice reported that the award ceremony which was the 17th edition, was held on Sunday at the Landmark Event Centre, Lagos, with many celebrities in attendance.
During the awards ceremony, Whitemoney took to the stage to receive the Afrobeats Single Of the Year award on behalf of singer Flavour at the ceremony. Whitemoney further attributed the award to the Igbos, which has led to various comments from fans of Flavour on social media.
Taking to his X handle, Do2dtun described Whitemoney's "on behalf of the Igbos" comment as unnecessary.
He wrote:
“On behalf of the Igbos.’
“I am sorry, that was so unnecessary. It didn’t need that type of narrative. It’s an award won by an African; for Afrobeat and a Nigerian. #headies2025."
