My Show In December Is About To Be Cancelled: Davido Reveals Aftermath Of Interview About Africa's Economy
Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that his show in Lagos scheduled for December is about to be cancelled, following his interview about the African economy.
The Nigerian Voice recalls that Davido recently stated on American podcast, ‘Big Homies House’, admonished black Americans against relocating to Africa. He explained that the African economy is in a mess currently, especially Nigeria.
The singer's comment about the Nigerian economy, however, sparked public outrage, with many criticizing his decision to paint the African economy bad on the global stage.
Davido has now revealed that there are plans to cancel his show in Lagos in December, over his comments about the African economy. He, however, noted that he is unfazed, as he does not have to perform in Nigeria.
"Dem say dem go cancel my show cus of my interview … loooool I don’t have to perform in Nigeria.”
