Breaking: Sinach Sued Over Alleged Copyright Infringement On Way Maker Song By Michael Oluwole
Nigerian gospel singer, Osinachi Kalu, popularly known as Sinach, has been sued by producer, Michael Oluwole over alleged copyright infringement.
According to the producer, he noted that he has the equal rights as the co-author on her 2016 hit song 'Way Maker' and as such, he is suing the singer in damages of N5 billion, "in the suit numbered FHC/L/CS/402/2024."
Sinach, has, however, refuted his claim, affirming that she owns full rights to the song, while explaining that she already gained stardom before ‘Way Maker’ song.
The trial, which began at the Federal High Court in Lagos on Wednesday November 27, 2024, was adjourned until January 29 and 30, 2025.
