Former Big Brother Naija winner, Mercy Eke was subjected to criticism over the mistake of her handler on her verified X handle.

The former reality star handler described Big Brother Naija ‘No Loose Guard’ housemate, Onyeka, a “gold digger.”

The now deleted tweet on X reads:
“Onyeka the Mbadiwe gold digger sorry to burst your bubbles there’s no gold in the twins… #BBnaija."

Following the numerous backlash generated from the tweet, Mercy Eke addressed the tweet and stated that it was her handler who made the tweet and not herself. She stated that she has since left everything about Big Brother Naija and she was shocked when she woke up to such tweets from her handler.

She made a tweet on her X handle which reads:
*Can’t believe I’m waking up to this on my birthday. A handler that was supposed to post my birthday contents and reply to birthday wishes was involving herself in a BBN drama and now I have to deal with this mess???

“I have left everything BBN behind for Christ’s sake! And seeing such silly opinions, especially about one of the housemates I like! The only reason I’m not tagging this person’s main page is to not get her bullied by fans, because this is highly unprofessional.

“I apologize to Team Onyeka because this is so embarrassing coming from my account, it definitely does not represent me or how I feel.”
