The General overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God( RCCG), Pastor Encoch Adejare Adeboye fondly called Daddy G.O or Pastor Adeboye has expressed immense gratitude to God for the grace of turning a new age today, 2nd March, 2024.

The head pastor of RCCG recounted how he almost died but God saved him narrowly. He made reference to the description of his former driver who disclosed that the Pastor and his wife were survivors of various incidents on the way to Ilorin.

Pastor Adeboye further revealed that the terrible one was the one involving a trailer which was coming at full speed on a narrow path which had a river by its side.

He further narrated it by saying; “Somehow we passed,” he said, noting that it was a miracle that they escaped unhurt in the incident, which left both him and his driver shaking.

Adeboye said the escape amazed his driver, that all the way to Ilorin, all he was repeating was ‘wonderful.’

“That I’m alive today is because His name is called wonderful,”

He then thanked the members of RCCG for celebrating him on his special day and prayed for longetivity of life for them.

It could be recalled that a program tagged the Marathon Messiah Praise which is organised in preparation of the Pastor's birthday. The Marathon Messiah Praise involves various gospel artistes who singg to bless the name of the lord before the Pastor celebrates his birthday .

The pastor then disclosed that his 82nd birthday also marked the 38th anniversary of the monthly Special Holy Ghost Service organised by the church. He thanked God for the miracles performed through the program.
