Shock and agony strike Nollywood industry as three renowned male actors gave up the ghost within three days.

The first was saint Obi who died last week Monday but it was announced to the public on the 13th of may 2023. He died at the age of 57.

The death of Saint Obi was followed by the sudden demise of a popular yoruba actor, Murphy Afolabi. He slipped off in his bathroom and collapsed. An attempt to revive him was futile.

The recenter of this tragic news is the death of another Nollywood actor, Chikezie Uwazie.

A colleague, Actress Obey Etok Chima who shared news of Uwazie’s death, said the actor who became a known face in the Nigerian movie industry in the 2000s, died after second brain surgery.

Obey wrote;
“I can’t imagine am posting this. Chikezie Uwazie goneeeee. After a 2nd brain surgery. Gini na emezi. Am so shocked to get this news this evening. Just got this from our IMSU alumni platform. I thought you told me you were going to the states for greener pastures. You promised to come back some years back but I didn’t see you. Can’t believe you are gone but God knows best. Rest on Chyko”
