Aliko Dangote On The Verge Of Buying A French Team
A Nigerian business mogul, the richest man in Africa and 86th richest in the world, Aliko Dangote, is already at the verge of owning a french team, Valenciennes.
Valenciennes is a French League 1. It was established in 1913. However, it is in the history of the team to have won the Ligue 2, the Championnat National, and the Championnat de France amateur.
According to Soccernet report, it was gathered that the French media outlet, Entreprendre, the Nigerian business mogul, Aliko Dangote would acquire the club’s 60% ownership.
The greatest industrial conglomerate in Africa, the Dangote Group, had previously indicated interest in purchasing Premier League team Arsenal, but the deal fell through.
The team has competed in Ligue 1 for 40 seasons and Ligue 2 for 36 and have won the Ligue 2 championship twice but have never won the Ligue 1 championship.
