The trend of gospel ministers getting married to females from other countries has been faced with criticisms by many.

The latest to criticize Gospel Minister's is social media critic and commentator, Honour Orietan. The online critic who is fondly known for his term “This is unwise," has aired his view on the Nigerian Gospel Minister's who get engaged to females from other countries.

Honour’s comment is coming after Minister Theophilus engaged his lover, Ashley White yesterday, 20th March, 2024. The critic took to the popular microblogging platform X formerly known as Twitter to air his view on Gospel Minister's getting married to ladies from other countries.

He wrote; “It's unwîse how Naija gospel singers go abroad to pick wife when Naija ladies are flooding streets, churches looking fr husband. More unwîse how these singers always snap sînful pix, holding waist of lady that isn't wife yet. Their márriàge mayn't last fr promoting lúst, sín. Só unwîse.”
