BRYANT HOTELS: NEW HOSPITALITY HAVEN FOR TOP CELEBRITIES

By Alonge Michael

Nestled inside the Thomas Estate in the Ajah area of Lagos, one relaxation that has become a social haven for corporate Lagosians and individuals looking for a luxury hotel with outstanding amenities is Bryant. The newly opened Bryant Hotels, located behind Doren Hospital, Ajah is such a place to be. This hospitality haven which is owned by Edo State born Edwards Okoruwa will have its grand opening on 13th December, 2008. Bryant Hotels is a magnum opus as it stands out amongst other hotels in that environment. With its outstanding ambiance and superb customer service, Bryant Hotels is poised to surpass all the big names in hospitality businesses in its locality.

You may wonder why this new entrant in the hospitality business has become the toast of Lagos. The answer lies with the owner, Edwards Okoruwa, whose passion for service and vision for entrepreneurship was borne out of his undying love for good things of life while obtaining his graduate and postgraduate degrees at the University of Houston, USA. Edwards is also the MD/CEO of A2International an Information Technology Company which has a working relationship with Shell Petroleum and other multinational companies in Nigeria and abroad. “When I got back from the US in late 2003 I saw that there was a gap in the hospitality business which presented an opportunity for me to participate. Now I am happy to say I own one of the best hotels in this area. I set a standard of what I would find agreeable to what I wanted to see in my hotel. It took some time for the right opportunity to come along. I saw quite a few hotels that I could have purchased or taken over and developed myself but, none of them met my standard. I had to take my time to find what suits my taste and, of course, the location was one of the things that caused the delay. This hotel is to serve most of the corporate clients in the area, you know, this is a new area in that it is fast developing. We felt we could fill the gap that exists around this environment,” Edwards stated.

With amenities that include sized swimming pool, a cozy environment for relaxation, a conference room for seminars/meetings, and friendly, happy employees who are determined to make your stay worthwhile, it is little wonder the standards of Bryant Hotels surpasses other hotels in town. When asked what makes them stand out, the beautiful marketing/PRO, Nikkie Oluleye said, “What makes us special is our quality customer service and attention to detail. The atmosphere is like home away from home when you are in our hotel; I believe there are gaps that needed to be filled in the hotel business and those are the areas that we concentrate on.

Security is also one of our major concerns, we have two types of security here and the beauty of it is that this hotel is situated in a gated community where security operatives check all the incoming and outgoing traffic. Bryant Hotels also has its own security and a CCTV that monitors the grounds around the hotel. To top it off, we have mobile policemen that patrol the area so you can rest assured that you are in a safe environment.” What else can we say other than join lineup of beautiful people, eminent personalities, and Nollywood stars who are preparing to register their presence at Bryant Hotels on opening day, 13th of December 2008.
