Afraid of being broke, African China dishes music for hairdressing

Financial insecurities are what many fear most in life. It's not so easy to be up there and then gradually fall back to zero.

There are so many celebrities who were very popular years back but were wiped off my upcoming generation, and some of them are struggling to feed now.

Africa China has been missing on our TV screens for a while now, his style of music is no more in existence, but he claims he still very much active and relevant in the industry.

The singer, who is also an entrepreneur, revealed in a recent interview with punch that he had to plan his life, so as not to go broke like some of those he started music with.

Proud of his achievements, the singer revealed he owns a hairdressing salon, a record label, a sound equipment rental business and a boutique.

He sure planned for a rainy day right? Planning is quite vital in life, as the music industry is quite competitive, with lots of amazing talents emerging on daily basis. Keeping up could be difficult sometimes.

In his words: “By opening a hairdressing salon, what I have done is invest for a rainy day. If you check properly, you would realize that some of those who began their careers about the same time I started mine are now broke. Today, a lot of them cannot feed themselves and their dependents. My space is there; I can come and take it anytime. I will always be relevant, I will continue to do my thing.”
