Dressing the Nigerian feminine figure
You only need to watch American ladies take pictures on the red carpet and see that it is all about baring it all. Most Nigerian ladies, however, dress to grace their figure which is not competing to be size zero, but full and well graced sizes 14 and above. For the average Nigerian lady, there is no need for too much revealing cuts on her outfit, which is a strategy of keeping their men guessing. The range of material they make their outfits from? African prints most times, organza lace, guinea brocade, and sometimes the soft fabrics in the range of chiffon, satin, taffeta amongst others.
And this is what I will like to say, dressing the Nigerian feminine figure has its trademark as well, just as other countries exhibit theirs. I am proud to belong to the Nigerian dressing “trademark.” How about you?
