Pregnant Woman Baths Man With Hot Water For Peeping

In Enugu, a certain pregnant woman, is in police net for allegedly pouring hot water on her neighbour, who was accused of peeping on her while having her bath.

The suspect, Mrs Mercy Chintua, who resides in a face-me-i-face-you apartment with her husband at Akwuke, Awkunanaw in Enugu State, was arrested after she reportedly poured hot water on her neighbour, one Emmanuel Anyebe.

The ugly drama started when Anyebe was about to take his bath and Chintua engrossed with anger and retaliation splashed the hot water on him.

Consequently, the victim sustained severe injuries as a result of the incident and is currently receiving treatment in hospital.

Recalling how it all happened, Chintua said on that fateful day, as she was taking her bath, Anyebe spied on her while trying to gain access to the bathroom, and in the process, saw her nakedness.

Chintua said she was angered at the invasion of her privacy, so, she grabbed a pot of already boiled hot water and poured its content on Anyebe.

Anyebe reportedly lost consciousness as a result of the excruciating pain and was rushed to a nearly hospital for treatment.

In a swift reaction to the accusations against him, Anyebe who is still groaning in severe pains as a result of his neighbour's action denied peeping on the woman.

According to him, he wanted to enter the bathroom to take his bath, only to be stopped by Chintua, who insisted on taking her bath first.

Anyebe said he simply left after Chintua quickly went into the bathroom to take her bath before he could do same.

He added that he went to the woman's husband to complain about the development, after which he proceeded to go back to the bathroom to have his bath after Chintua had finished taking her bath.

The victim explained further that it was while he was taking his bath that Chintua poured the hot water on him.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Enugu State Police Command, Ebere Amaraizu, who disclosed the development in a statement, said Chintua has blamed her action on the devil.
