How Yinka Ayefele's Father Died At His Birthday Party

There was confusion in Ipoti Ekiti in Ekiti State when the father of 'Tungba' music exponent, Yinka Ayefele, shockingly slumped to death.

The unfortunate incident has left the musician devastated and he is still trying to comprehend how such happened to him. The deceased slumped and died at his 76th birthday celebration together for him by his children.

According to Ayefele's Publicist, David Ajiboye, the father of the artiste, Pa Joshua Taiwo Ayefele, popularly known as Baba Teacher in his neighbourhood, was hale and hearty and had summoned his children to throw a birthday party in his honour.

It was said that the deceased's request came as surprise to his children, who could not understand why the man asked for such. However, it was to be a farewell party for the man.

The late Pa Ayefele had earlier held a birthday thanksgiving service at the Anglican Church, Ipoti Ekiti.

A devastated Yinka Ayefele narrated that, "I was there with him at Ipoti Ekiti to celebrate with him, he even saw me off when I was leaving and I left but was surprised to hear few minutes after I left of his demise."

Pa Ayefele was an educationist and community leader in Ipoti Ekiti until his demise. No date has been fixed yet for burial.
