The Oyo State chapter of the Theatre Art and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria (TAMPPAN) has debunked rumour making the rounds that renowned actor, Adebayo Faleti is dead.

Speaking through its Chairperson, Rose Odika, via a Blackberry broadcast on Monday afternoon, the group said the veteran actor is alive and presently at his Ojoo residence in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Also reacting to the rumour via the same platform, the Publicity Secretary of The Movie Ambassador, Yomi Fabiyi, urged members of the press to always ensure key stakeholders in the movie industry are contacted before publishing any report on actors.

"The rumour circulating that Pa Adebayo Faleti is dead is untrue. Baba Adebayo Akande Faleti Ode Adaba is at his Ojoo residence healthy and strong, Thank you all for your concern," Odika said.
