Award winning actress Lupita Nyong'o was among the throngs of international stars that showed appearance this year to the just concluded 'MET' Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Gala, which was hosted by American Vogue Editor Anna Wintour.

The event which allows celebrities showcase their creativity and that of their stylists and designers is one function they look forward to every year.

The museum which celebrated the opening of its show with the theme 'White Tie and Decorations', had it dedicated to Anglo-American designer/Couturier Charles James.

Every year a theme for what to wear is made known ahead of time, so the stars can go out of their way to appear in whatever 'drop-dead or wow' outfit they can.
