Tragedy In OAU, Ile-Ife As 400-Level Student Commits Suicide

A student of the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-ife, Dipo Ige, has taken his own life under mysterious circumstances.

According to reports, Dipo committed the act yesterday owing to depression he was alleged to be suffering from.

He lived in an area close to the campus called 'Asherifa'. It was gathered that before his death, the deceased wore a 'lonely' look and had an unpleasant attitude during lectures.

Rumours have it that Dipo's resolve to kill himself is connected with too many 'F's (academic failure). He was found dead in his room. He reportedly sent a letter to his parents before the act.
