Star Nollywood actresses, Funke Akindele Oloyede and Mercy Aigbe added more feathers to their caps yesterday as they were awarded for excellence at the Global Leadership Awards for Excellence (GLADE) held on Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Lagos.

The event, which took place at Time Square Events Ltd, Ikeja, Lagos, awarded excellence in almost all facet of the society with awards given out in politics, banking, personalities, movies, music, fashion, etc.

Funke, who defied the rain to attend the event, stormed the awards ceremony stealing the show with her royal dress style. She won the Cross Over Actress of the Year, while Mercy Aigbe won the Best Yoruba Actress.

Global Leadership Awards for Excellence was put together by a Lagos soft-sell magazine, Global News.

Also, sexy actress, Halima Abubakar was in her usual self, present at the event. She looked radiant and sexy while photo-journalists took shots of her. She accompanied the boss of her PR outfit who won an award at the event.

JJC and his boys, Tipsy, Mister May D, Raymond Fix, Queen Onokala, and many others attended the award ceremony, which was almost marred by the rain.
