HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES ASK FG TO SUSPEND THE REMOVAL OF FUEL SUBSIDY
The House of Representatives has called for the suspension of the removal of the fuel subsidy by the federal government.
The decision was taken at a special session of the House held today in Abuja.
It however set up two committees to meet with representatives of Labour and the federal government and monitoring of the subsidy regime.
Speaker of the House, Aminu Tambuwal said the decision of the house was in the best interest of the country.
"We have a responsibility to ensure that the government and the country is governed through due process and respect for the rule of the law" the Speaker stated
