If reports reaching Entertainment Cafe is anything to go by, then the long absence of actress Shola Shobowale from the Nigerian movie scene, is currently creating a controversy.

Entertainment Cafe's findings reveal that the screen goddess' unusual sojourn in the United Kingdom since last year, has continued to create doubts over her whereabouts.

While it was alleged that the actress was arrested and jailed in far away England for a drug related issue, Entertainment Cafe learnt that it was a rumour after all.

A reliable source and colleague of the actress disclosed that she was actually arrested in Queen's land and released on bail in a case that involved a UK-based company and a Nigerian employee, whom she signed for as guarantor.

The Nigerian employee, Entertainment Cafe gathered, was, however, repatriated for invalid documents, while the actress was consequently arrested.

Back home in Nigeria, some of her colleagues who spoke with Entertainment Cafe said she had relocated to England to join her medical doctor husband, who is based there, while others confirmed that she is currently holidaying.

Entertainment Cafe's efforts to reach her on both her UK and Nigerian telephone contacts before filing this report proved abortive.

One of her aides in Nigeria told Entertainment Cafe that she is currently not in London and that might have created room for the rumour being spread by people.
