Not many noticed that top Movie Producer and former President of the Association of Movie Producers, AMP, Madu C.Chikwendu abandoned late Ashley Nwosu's service of songs held at O'jez Restaurant and Bar on Thursday, June 2, 2011.Midway into the program, those sitting close to Madu noticed that he walked out of the hall in anger and they wondered what could have made him storm out of a program organized to pay last respects to his friend and brother. It was later revealed to us that the renowned film maker felt neglected and disrespected as his presence was not recognized by the compere.

According to sources, Chikwendu complained that movie producers and directors are faced with different kinds of humiliation and insults everyday from people they labored to bring to limelight.

He was said to have argued that actors and actresses are always given preferential treatment all the time without any consideration given to movie producers who actually turned them into stars. It was said that he bitterly declared that the actor who anchored the program could not recognize a single film maker. It was obvious, according to Madu, that Nollywood practitioners have forgotten where they are coming from.
