50 top stars to perform at KSA mum’s burial

Chairman of the organising committee for the burial of King Sunny Ade's mum has announced that top stars in the music and movie industry will perform at the event.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the event, Mr. Clement Ige, who disclosed this in Lagos said, ”The number of the artistes continue to increase every day, but I can assure you that nothing less than 50 artistes have shown their readiness to attend the event with their full band members ”.

The artistes, he said, cut across all genre of music, from Gospel to Fuji, Juju, Highlife and Hip-hop the list is endless.

According to him, “Artistes for the event will be led by the President of PMAN, Admiral Dele Abiodun. Kollington Ayinla, Abass Akande Obesere, Saheed Osupa, Alabi Pasuma, Ayo Balogun, Timi Osukoya Telemi, Bola Are, Sola Allynson, Tope Alabi, Dbanj, 9ice, Tony Tetuila and other top artistes from the country are also expected to perform at the event.

He also revealed that Kofi Olomide and a South African-based act will complement the effort of the Nigerian artistes at the event. He said that Nollywood stars are also contesting for roles in the event which is expected to commence on Monday in Lagos before Mama's final journey to Ondo for Artistes Night on Wednesday, Wake keep on Thursday and the final burial is on Friday.
