Felabration: Lucky Dube storms Afrika shrine with Femi Kuti
outh African born Raggae star, Lucky Dube, has confirmed his participation in this year's grand finale of the Felabration Festival coming up on Sunday October 15.
Speaking in Lagos shortly after his arrival in Nigeria, Dube, who had earlier been announced in Nigeria to be a guest of the festival said he will perform at the event come Sunday, October 15.
Lucky Dube said he is enthusiastic to come to Nigeria particularly to honour Fela, who was until his death the creator and exponent of AfroBeat. Laface had told journalists Wednesday that putting up the show is another challenge he has to contend with after the last Wyclef Jean show that was adjudged a success.
He pointed that on a yearly basis Fela is being celebrated world over, while he remains less sung at home. He said:" We want to use Fela to develop our tourism industry in Nigeria. He is the most popular Nigerian even after death."
